LADDER LEAGUE RULES
All Matches must be
played at MPTC. Any other locations other than MPTC will
not count or be allowed.
1)
Players are responsible for issuing challenges to other
players. Players must make every effort to accept challenges.
The first challenge you receive is the one that must be
accepted. It is both players responsibility to reconfirm
match time particularly when matches are arranged more
than several days in advance.
2)
Players can only challenge another player 2 levels above
at max. Any challenges more than 2 levels above will not
be accepted. All matches are played by a Pro-Set to 8
games. No tie Breakers. Eg: 7-7 next game wins 8-7.
3)
Both players will be responsible for bringing a new
can of tennis balls to the match. The winner of
the match will receive/keep the new can while the opponent
keeps/receives the used can.
4)
It will be the responsibility of the winner to report
the match results a.s.a.p in order to move up on the ladder
immediately.
5)
Scores along with the date/times
matches were played are to be reported either by phone

All players will be asked to have at least played a minimum
of 1 match per week on a Sunday-Sunday weekly basis
starting Sunday May 29th, 2011 through to Sunday September
11th, 2011
7)
In the event of inclement weather conditions during a
match, continuation is to be arranged a.s.a.p for another
date/time to complete the match.
8)
Any player(s) not accepting or have not played any matches
within 2 weeks will be automatically moved to the bottom.
If you are away on vacation you are responsible for notifying
players and club pro asap.
9)
Winner of the Ladder League Challenge will be determined
at the end of August according to # of matches won, and
who has remained at the top the longest. Winner will receive
3 points for a win, loser will receive 1 point for a loss.
Zero points for any player who has defaulted and opponent
will automatically receive 3 points and move up on the
ladder. Any player (s) who have not played their minimum
of 1 match within the 2 weeks will receive -1 unless due
to emergency or injury. Standings will be posted either
on website or at the club.
